What AISW Arena Verified collects, and why
AISW Arena Verified exists to enforce one voter, one account. Everything below is collected toward that single purpose. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising.
What we collect
When you verify, we record your Discord ID and username, which is how we identify you and how you appear in the voter directory. We also check your account creation date and how long you've been a member of the server — brand-new accounts are a common sign of throwaway or duplicate voting, so we look for some history before approving. Your Discord avatar is stored and shown on your pass and in the directory.
We also collect your IP address, browser fingerprinting, and cookies, which we use as signals to judge whether a new attempt is coming from someone who's already verified. No single signal is used alone to reject anyone. Finally, Cloudflare Turnstile gives us a pass/fail result confirming you're a person and not a bot or script.
Requesting anonymization
You can ask us to anonymize the IP address and device fingerprint tied to your verification attempts. We replace those values with a keyed hash that can't be reversed back to your original data, while still letting the system recognize a repeat attempt from you so the "one voter, one account" check keeps working. We honor anonymization requests within 30 days. To request this, email contact@aeternare.com with the Discord account you verified with.
Data retention
We keep verification records indefinitely so the "one voter, one account" system keeps working. To anonymize your data, see the section above.
Who this is shared with
Discord and Cloudflare (Turnstile) process parts of this data as the services we build on, under their own privacy terms, not ours. Arena moderators can look up and act on this data through an internal admin dashboard. Beyond those two points, we don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, including for advertising.
